I am a Research Associate [Cognitive Science] with the OHSL. I am a theoretical, old-school AI researcher belonging to the 'Strong AI'-camp. My specific areas are Commonsense Knowledge & Commonsense Reasoning, Semantics, Cognitive Computing and Affective Computing. I have pursued my AI on my own, fortunately with the help, and guidance of some of the leading minds in the field, in the world. I was indeed fortunate to have been mentored and helped by the late Prof. Marvin Minsky (of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology) - the father of Artificial Intelligence, for long. I owe my entire AI career to the legend.
My present AI mentors are Dr. Pat Hayes, Dr. Richard Waldinger, Prof. Noam Chomsky, amongst others. I have delivered invited talks at Microsoft Research, the Institute of Human and Machine Cognition, and the Stanford Research Institute. Earlier, I was an undergraduate in the Aerospace Engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
