Research Interests: Major thrust area of his research is typhoid fever and chronic typhoid carriage for last 25 years. In this field he has made a significant contribution for the first time in World Literature of Medicine.
Pioneering work in BACTERIOPHAGE THERAPY: Standardized and evaluated the phage therapy for acute septicaemic model against Pseudomonas aeruginosa in burn mouse model. The phage strains have been patented by Indian Patent Authority (Certificate of filing of patent from Indian Patenting authorities has been received).
He has generated potential mutants of Salmonella Typhi as vaccine candidates.
