Rachit Agarwal is an assistant professor at Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He did his undergraduate studies at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in Biotechnology. Rachit then worked in the field of biomaterial-based drug delivery for his PhD. at University of Texas at Austin, Texas, USA. His post-doctoral fellowship was on regenerative medicine from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA. His scientific interests are in developing biomaterial-based delivery vehicles for the treatment of infectious diseases. Rachit is also interested in phage therapy for treating antibiotic resistant infections with the goal of translating science into technologies that can be used in the clinic
